Openhouse seeks an experienced development leader who will champion the expansion of our funding base. This individual will develop programs that reach individual donors, foundations and corporate sponsors in order to ensure long-term financial sustainability for the organization as we continue to grow our capacity to serve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) seniors in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Director of Development and Marketing reports directly to the Executive Director and serves as part of the senior management team.

The Youth Empowerment Coordinator will coordinate an HIV prevention and community building Project for young African American and Latino gay and bisexual men between the ages of 18 and 24. The community-based, peer-run prevention program is an innovative and evolving 5-year program that includes a combination of peer-led small groups, peer outreach and social marketing campaigns. Activities will occur both at Center on Halsted (COH) and at off-site, outreach locations. The person in this position will also work closely with the Outreach Coordinator to ensure that program scopes and deliverables are successfully achieved.

Keep It Up! (KIU!) is an interactive and engaging intervention tailored to ethnically diverse men who have sex with men (MSM) who are 18-24 years old. Through funding from the Chicago Department of Public Health, KIU! will be implemented by Center on Halsted (COH) as a city-wide, community-level intervention. Other projects include outreach, HIV testing and individual level interventions offered to Chicago men who have sex with men.

The Communications Assistant provides support for all aspects of GLSEN’s communications work, from production to social media, to media relations; and plays a vital role in ensuring brand consistency across Communication platforms.

The Medical Assistant serves as an integral member of the health services team by stocking and preparing supplies and equipment, providing direct care, coordinating consultations and serving as an intermediary between patients and their healthcare provider. 

Whitman-Walker Health has one (1) opening for a part-time (16-20 hours per week) Health Educator in the Gay Men’s Health and Wellness Clinic who is responsible for the implementation and administration of a new program offering voluntary comprehensive self-administered STD testing kits to all patients who receive daytime HIV testing at Whitman-Walker Health’s Elizabeth Taylor and Max Robinson Medical Centers. The Health Educator also provides assistance as needed in all aspects of the operation of the Gay Men’s Health & Wellness Clinic.

The Director, Institutional Giving reports to the Managing Director of Development and is responsible for supporting the agency by achieving revenue goals by managing staff dedicated to procuring funds from three major revenue streams: 1) corporate funders, 2) private foundations and 3) government/public agencies. The first two funding streams are comprised of several types of gifts (grants, matching gifts, sponsorships, employee-initiated contributions, cause-related marketing, etc.).  The third stream is comprised of government contracts and grants.

Manage day-to-day activities and long-term strategies of Q Center’s Development Department in keeping with the agency’s strategic goals, mission and budget. Create and enhance existing fund development programs for major donors, individual donors, grants, foundation giving, DAF, monthly giving and legacy gifts. Design, collaborate and manage special events that contribute to donor and sponsor management and create sustainable funding and relationships.

Through our four core program areas the Senior Services Coordinator will design and implement activities necessary to achieve stated outcomes primarily being to create healthier & stronger LGBTQ Seniors. Programming may include, but is not limited to, social activities, education classes, art classes, nutrition program, exercise and advocacy. The Senior Services Coordinator will work closely with Seniors 55+ as they work to lessen social isolation, increase health & wellness and find meaningful ways to contribute their time and talents.

SMYAL is seeking a highly motivated individual passionate about HIV prevention and empowering LGBTQ youth! This full-time exempt position implements all aspects of SMYAL’s HIV counseling, testing, and referral (CTR) program, including conducting HIV CTR on-site at SMYAL’s Youth Center and in the community through outreach events. This individual also coordinates outreach for SMYAL’s HIV CTR program and builds relationships with other HIV prevention programs and community stakeholders.

SAGE is seeking a full-time Director, Individual Giving who is responsible for overseeing the Individual Giving Program at SAGE which includes external relations initiatives related to SAGE’s efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward: major and planned giving donors and prospects, direct mail and other annual donors as well as members. 

Under direction, the Research Specialist participates in the administration and implementation of trial research programs at the health center.  This position will work directly with study participants and ensure that study protocols are followed accurately. Too, the individual will compile necessary records and perform data entry and other administrative tasks for the trials.  This individual will be an active member of team of professionals that are responsible for the administration and implementation of research programs, assuring that study protocols are accurately followed at all types. 

The Senior Program Manager will oversee Advocates’ cooperative agreement with CDC’s Division of Adolescent Health (DASH) to increase the capacity of targeted local education agencies (LEAs) and community-based partners to improve their programs, policies, systems and environments to meet the sexual health needs of Black and Latino young men who have sex with men (YMSM) ages 13 to19.

Whitman-Walker Health is searching enthusiastically for a medical professional to serve as a Medical Assistant in our Medical Services division. This position will provide direct clinical care under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse or other clinician. The Medical Assistant will draw blood, give injections, take vital signs, and complete documentation of activities in the medical chart. Also, this position will provide general assistance throughout the patient visit and during any applicable procedures.
