The Events manager is a regular, full-time position who reports directly to the Director of Events and is responsible for coordinating more than 25 black-tie “primary,” and approximately ten smaller national fund raising events annually.
The main focus is working on the National Dinner, HRC’s largest fundraising event in the country. Specific focus would be on the Silent Auction procurement of items, updating the database with new items, working at the National Dinner event (set-up and the night of) and follow-up regarding auction winning bidders.
Required to be detail-oriented; able to manage a lot of item information accurately; and have basic customer service skills. Must be able to talk on the phone with potential donors in a professional manner; research potential auction items online and through magazines; as well as communicate with volunteers working on the National Dinner Committee.

The Regional Field Organizer is a regular, full-time position reporting to a Regional Field Director and is based in Washington, DC or another location within the region.
The Regional Field Organizer will work with a Regional Field Director to execute HRC’s field organizing activities in a region, including maintaining and expanding HRC’s ability to mobilize grassroots advocacy on behalf of federal and state lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender legislative priorities, and designing and implementing grassroots electoral and campaign strategies in support of federal candidates, state candidates and ballot initiatives. The Regional Field Organizer will also work to increase HRC’s visibility and presence in the region and improve contacts with state and local LGBT organizations.
The Communities & Volunteer Relations Manager is responsible to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure assigned HRC steering committees achieve their fiscal year goals. This requires impeccable customer service, strong active listening skills, extraordinarily high work ethic, and appreciation and desire for working through a team process.
The Executive/Board Relations Assistant reports directly to and is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the Executive Office and the Board Relations Department. The Executive/Board Relations Assistant will report directly to the Managing Director. The assistant must be able to respond quickly and with good judgment in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner. The Executive/Board Relations Assistant works with staff at all levels of the organization as well as board members, donors, political leaders and others. He/she must be able to interact in a professional and respectful manner with all those who engage with the Executive Office mindful that at all times they are representing the organization and the Executive Office.
The Database Coordinator is a member of our Data Acquisition and Analysis team and reports directly to the Vice President, Finance and Operations. This position is primarily responsible for providing support to HRC staff by producing timely and accurate lists and reports from the ROI Solutions Oracle-based membership database. As part of this responsibility, the Database Coordinator will work closely with the membership and direct marketing teams to help manage the process of gathering membership data for direct mail, telemarketing, online, and in-person fundraising campaigns.

The Candidate Fundraiser Temp will be a key team member of the organization’s support for HRC endorsed candidates, through the election season. This position will work with stakeholders in various departments within the organization, and with key members/volunteers across the country to raise campaign funds to support high priority races. The Political Fundraiser must manage internal information in a highly professional manner, help frame issues and candidates for various audiences, and work with other political staff on priorities.
The Assistant Manager of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Action Center & Store (ACS) is a full time position and reports directly to the ACS General Manager.
