The Communications Assistant provides support for all aspects of GLSEN’s communications work, from production to social media, to media relations; and plays a vital role in ensuring brand consistency across Communication platforms.
The Long Island Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Services Network (The Network) is seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications. The Director of Marketing and Communications directly manages a fast-paced marketing and communications department. S/he will work very closely with the Chief Executive Officer to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of communication and marketing objectives and strategies to advance The Network’s mission and to increase The Network and its organizations visibility among key stakeholders, including media, donors, clients and policymakers.
Reporting to the Executive Director, and serving as an integral member of the senior management team, the Director of Communications will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Center’s communication strategy.
Developing communications strategies for Freedom to Marry programs and projects; Managing day-to-day communications operations; Writing media advisories, press releases, op-eds, and talking points; Responding to media inquiries and coordinating interviews, etc.
The Communications and Operations Coordinator plays a key role in the execution of our communications strategy and the management of the Washington DC office. The Office Manager will play a major role in planning our upcoming office move & other as-needed administrative projects, managing logistics for supporter & activist events, and bringing order & timely office services to the office. The position has dual reporting to both the Communications Director in Washington DC and the Operations Director in New York.
Reporting to the IGLHRC Regional Program Coordinator for Africa and IGLHRC Communications Director, the Africa Communications Associate will be responsible for developing and implementing a communications plan, which will: proactively advance the interests of IGLHRC’s policy and Africa programmatic agenda; advance the work of IGLHRC partner organizations in Africa to enhance LGBT visibility and rights struggles.
utFront Minnesota is currently seeking a part-time (20-30 hours/week) Communications Manager. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing an integrated strategic communications plan to advance the vision, mission and brand identity of OutFront Minnesota; broaden awareness of our programs and services; and increase the visibility of the organization across all key stakeholder audiences — members, donors, foundations, state and local government officials, media, staff, volunteers, and the general public in Minnesota — ensuring that all communication elements consistently articulate OutFront Minnesota’s vision and mission. The goal is to advance the organization’s position and to drive broader awareness and donor support for OutFront Minnesota’s work.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this person will work collaboratively with the OutFront Minnesota leadership team and the volunteer Communications Committee.

The Director will be responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of public relations activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization and its leadership. This individual will be an ambassador for the organization and will need to build relationships with the media that advance the Center’s position with relevant constituents and drive broader awareness and support for the organization. The Director will be responsible for aligning and activating the Center’s brand identity across the organization’s varied and integrated communications products and services including: newsletters and other print publications; web, e-news, social media and other online communications; and other marketing collateral.
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will work on day-to-day marketing tasks, helping to promote the Center’s programs, services, and events. We are looking for someone who is creative, very familiar with social media and online marketing, has outstanding writing skills and is passionate about LGBT issues. Knowledge of Latino and African American LGBT media is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
