Keep It Up! (KIU!) is an interactive and engaging intervention tailored to ethnically diverse men who have sex with men (MSM) who are 18-24 years old. Through funding from the Chicago Department of Public Health, KIU! will be implemented by Center on Halsted (COH) as a city-wide, community-level intervention. Other projects include outreach, HIV testing and individual level interventions offered to Chicago men who have sex with men.

Whitman-Walker Health has one (1) opening for a part-time (16-20 hours per week) Health Educator in the Gay Men’s Health and Wellness Clinic who is responsible for the implementation and administration of a new program offering voluntary comprehensive self-administered STD testing kits to all patients who receive daytime HIV testing at Whitman-Walker Health’s Elizabeth Taylor and Max Robinson Medical Centers. The Health Educator also provides assistance as needed in all aspects of the operation of the Gay Men’s Health & Wellness Clinic.

The Director, Institutional Giving reports to the Managing Director of Development and is responsible for supporting the agency by achieving revenue goals by managing staff dedicated to procuring funds from three major revenue streams: 1) corporate funders, 2) private foundations and 3) government/public agencies. The first two funding streams are comprised of several types of gifts (grants, matching gifts, sponsorships, employee-initiated contributions, cause-related marketing, etc.).  The third stream is comprised of government contracts and grants.

SMYAL is seeking a highly motivated individual passionate about HIV prevention and empowering LGBTQ youth! This full-time exempt position implements all aspects of SMYAL’s HIV counseling, testing, and referral (CTR) program, including conducting HIV CTR on-site at SMYAL’s Youth Center and in the community through outreach events. This individual also coordinates outreach for SMYAL’s HIV CTR program and builds relationships with other HIV prevention programs and community stakeholders.

Under direction, the Research Specialist participates in the administration and implementation of trial research programs at the health center.  This position will work directly with study participants and ensure that study protocols are followed accurately. Too, the individual will compile necessary records and perform data entry and other administrative tasks for the trials.  This individual will be an active member of team of professionals that are responsible for the administration and implementation of research programs, assuring that study protocols are accurately followed at all types. 

Whitman-Walker Health is searching enthusiastically for a medical professional to serve as a Medical Assistant in our Medical Services division. This position will provide direct clinical care under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse or other clinician. The Medical Assistant will draw blood, give injections, take vital signs, and complete documentation of activities in the medical chart. Also, this position will provide general assistance throughout the patient visit and during any applicable procedures.

Whitman-Walker Health has one (1) opening for a full-time Executive Assistant/Board of Directors Liaison who is responsible for providing complex administrative support to the CEO, CMO, CFO, and COO, as well as the Board of Directors.  Additional support to other health center executives on all matters will be required.  The EA will provide additional administrative support including exercising discretion and independent judgment related specifically to general operations of organization as directed by senior executives.

Responsible for conducting community-wide outreach events for homeless and/or marginally housed youth, according to the implementation plan for outreach services as presented in the Outreach to Homeless Youth Public Health Solutions contract.

Under the supervision of the AIDS/LifeCycle Associate Director; recruit, train, and manage approximately 300 volunteers to support the annual AIDS/LifeCycle closing ceremonies, accounts payable for the SoCal ALC office, and manage special events. Additionally manage daily administrative support, for AIDS/LifeCycle.

The President/CEO reports to the Boards of Trustees, is directly supervised by the Board Chair and is a non-voting member of the Board.  S/he ensures a cohesive work environment and a strong management team with six (6) direct reports:  Senior Vice President, Policy & Advocacy; Senior Vice President, Programs; Chief Fiscal Officer; Vice President of Operations, Executive Associate.
